Water, the changing light, a box of photographs, music playing, the grain of the wood that I walk across, and the repetition of time pushing forward—this is a day, like any other, beautiful in its simplicity, open in its possibilities. From these things I draw my ideas; they are everything and nothing, open and free. Answering, responding, to the water, the changing light, the objects, the creation and possibilities—this is the foundation of my work. Justin Baker lives in Troy, New York. He is currently enrolled in the MFA program at SUNY Albany.
